Return to Celtic Connections

After an acclaimed performance at the Festival in 2016, our scots music inspired ensemble Equilibrium will be returning to Celtic Connections in 2017.

Equilibrium combines traditional acoustic instruments with digital technology to create new music inspired by the history, culture and landscape of Scotland. This approach enables musicians with disabilities to take an equal part in the composition and performance of new music.

The ensemble performs much of its own original material and arrangements on Digital Harp (laptop), Acoustic Harp, Fiddle, Viola, Recorders, Voice and iPad. They have performed at Celtic Connections, The Royal Highland Show and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Equilibrium is supported by The Amy Moar Legacy Fund and The R S Macdonald Trust.
