Drake Music Scotland and composer Lewis Forbes have been nominated in the New Music Scotland Scottish Awards for New Music in the ‘Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Award for Community/Education Project‘ category for “Wagner’s School of Cool“.
Wagner’s School of Cool was a new commission by Lewis Forbes which showcased the talents of young disabled musicians from three of Edinburgh’s special schools alongside their peers in the Edinburgh Schools Jazz Orchestra at The Queen’s Hall in March 2016.
The winner will be announced at the ceremony on 8 March 2017 at 7.30pm in Drygate, Glasgow.
