Drake Music Scotland is delighted to be a finalist in the Music Teacher Awards for Excellence 2016 for our work with Figurenotes.
After being nominated for and winning the award in the Best SEND (Special Educational Needs) Resource Category in 2014, we are thrilled our further development of Figurenotes software, resources, education and training has again been recognised.
Figurenotes is a simple system designed to demystify the first steps in learning to read music. Each musical note has a corresponding coloured symbol. With the help of stickers on the instruments, learners play what they see. Figurenotes gives musicians easier access to playing the type of instruments and music they want to play.
Winners will be announced on the 25 February 2016.
